When Mr. J.R.R. Tolkien first published The Hobbit in 1937, I'm sure he didn't foresee a movie version being made in 2012. The movie premiers this Friday, December 14th, and I'm sure many Lord of the Rings followers are very excited about seeing the first of a trilogy of films adapting Tolkien's famous book.
